December Opening Hours: Updated 26/11/20 As a result of the Government designation of Oxfordshire under Tier 2 Covid 19 Restrictions we are only allowed to open to customers who are having a ‘substantial meal’ with any alcoholic drinks purchased. Therefore we have had to take the very difficult decision to only open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday lunchtimes and evenings from 6pm for those who are having a meal with drinks, following current Covid Secure guidelines. Winter Warmers! We have continued renovating and updating this beautiful traditional inn giving it sympathetic modern twist that we hope you’ll love. The Blue Room now has a real coal fire keeping you toasty, the Bar has its wonderful wood burning stove, and the whole pub feels cosy and warm with the vintage-style cast-iron radiators. There’s a relaxed friendly atmosphere complemented by appropriate lighting and quiet background music. This 19th century Free-house still enjoys serving local ales and great ciders in the beautiful village of Lower Heyford on the Oxford Canal.

Great Food: Everchanging Menu: We’ve taken the many complements and comments on board after our first few months of opening and we hope you’ll love our new menus from December onwards featuring value-for-money fully home cooked meals using only fresh ingredients from some of the region’s leading suppliers.
